Frankie Marie Mart Arseneaux passed peacefully from her earthly body into eternity with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the age of 79.
Frankie was born in New Orleans on May 20, 1943, and moved to Slidell, Louisiana, in 1967, where she made her home for the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy G. Mart and Frank P. Mart, and her brother, James Mart.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Diane Mart Hudson (Edward) and Janeen Mart Prestenbach, as well as her dear friend, Lynne Finch. Frankie was the beloved mother of Arthur A. Arseneaux III (Denise), John P. Arseneaux (Kathy), and Joanna A. Sperandeo (Mario).
She was a proud grandmother to Omar B. Ictech II (Danica), Taylor M. Arseneaux (Josh), Ian A. Arseneaux (Erika), Johnathon T. Arseneaux (Lupe), and Miguel R. Sperandeo (Kaitlin). She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Lilah and Jaxon Ictech.
Frankie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. She was most proud of her children and treasured every opportunity to be with them. In her later years, she especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Lilah and Jaxon, often bringing donuts from her favorite local donut shop to share with them, and going out to eat at her favorite local restaurants, often with her son John and his wife Kathy. Those who knew Frankie will always remember her love of fried shrimp po’boys, fancy cowgirl boots, the color red, and the joy she found in being a grandmother and gathering with family. She was kind, loving, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family extends special thanks to the caregivers at SummerHouse Park Provence and Interim Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
