Chief Says Investigators Have Made Significant Progress In This Case And In A Separate Shooting On Voters Road
Slidell police are asking for the public’s help as detectives search for four suspects in a robbery and kidnapping case that Chief Daniel Seuzeneau said is connected to a victim meeting someone through an app.
According to Seuzeneau, investigators are looking for four Black males believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. Police said one suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie and another was last seen wearing a white tank top. They were last reported heading toward the Lincoln Park subdivision.
Anyone with information is asked to call Slidell Police at 985-643-3131 or CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
In a public update, Seuzeneau said officers and detectives have been working two major violent crime investigations in recent days: the robbery and kidnapping case, and a separate shooting reported last Friday at the McDonald’s on Voters Road.
Police have said the two investigations are unrelated. In television reporting on the McDonald’s case, Seuzeneau said detectives are working to secure arrest warrants in that shooting as well.
Seuzeneau said Slidell Police have made significant progress in both investigations and that multiple arrests are expected soon. As of the latest public updates reviewed by Slidell Times, police had not yet publicly identified the suspects by name.
“This type of violent crime is not going to become the norm in our community,” Seuzeneau said in the department’s public message.
Why This Matters In Slidell
These cases have drawn attention because both involve serious violent crime in well-traveled parts of the city, including the Old Spanish Trail and Voters Road corridor. That area connects nearby neighborhoods, schools, and daily commuter traffic, so public safety concerns there tend to resonate quickly across Slidell.
The robbery case also carries a broader warning. Police have indicated the incident began with a meeting arranged through an app, a detail investigators may use to alert possible additional victims or witnesses as arrests move forward.
